Dear Argentine Consulate Member, 

My name is Clay Nelson and I organize the largest Tango event
in North America. Our most recent meeting, the 7th Annual
Portland TangoFest was held Oct 15-19, 2003 and drew nearly 600
attendees. The festival included 26 tango maestros, 7 different
DJs, 7 evening milongas at 6 different ballrooms and studio and 2

I am now beginning the planning for next year's event. My dream is
to bring "Orquesta Tipica Los Reyes del Tango"--one of the finest
traditional tango orchestras in existence from Buenos Aires to play
at a milonga for the Portland TangoFest. (Please see email below
for information about Los Reyes.) The major expense in bringing
the orchestra to the United States is the airfare. However, if
we can arrange to have Los Reyes play in other cites on a tour,
or if we could get some type of financial support, then this
dream may become a reality.

If you can in any way help by: 

(a) providing suggestions and/or contact information of
organization or individuals (possibly other Argentine Consulates)
that would be willing to sponsor Los Reyes and/or organize a
concert for them, or

(b) provide financial support for a tour of Los Reyes del Tango, 

I would be most appreciative and immensely thankful.

Since the Orquesta has been formed, it has toured the world with

the five continents and lot of first class restaurants. These

being one of the best tango orchestras in Argentina.
