        Susana Collins & Derik Rawson have found another (you
        go, guys!) tango venue at the Cotton Exchange Bar.
        It starts Thursday (tonight) after 10pm, downtown at 808
        Franklin, corner with Travis, including live music later.

        Victor & Susana host their Saturday milonga this weekend.

        HATA brings Cacho Dante back to Houston for his yearly
        visit on October 7, 11, and 12, with a special milonga
        on Oct 10.  Full details at <http://www.houstontango.org/>.

        Martin & Natia have canceled their Friday classes this
        week only, due to a performance commitment.  In addition,
        they have announced their Halloween Dance (tango plus
        other music) for Friday, October 31.  They will also host
        the third All Houston Milonga on December 6.

Monday

        Glover Gill of Glovertango normally plays delicious solo
        tango piano at the Continental Club from 8-9pm, but he's
        on a three week break for vacation, etc.

Tuesday

        Susana Collins hosts tango dancing at The Belmar, a new
        upscale club near Kirby & Richmond.  Plenty of couches
        and tables encircling a great dance area, with super
        sound system, full bar, and a "Tango Tuesday" special
        for wine and sangria.  2710 Richmond near Kirby, 8:30pm
        until 2:00am.  No cover charge, but it always helps to
        support our hosts with business

        new class cycle tonight.  Joan Bishop & Roger Soto

Wednesday

        Victor Collins teaches class - beginner 7-8pm, practica
        from 8-8:30pm, intermediate/advanced from 8:30-9:30pm,
        with practica until 10pm. $10/class, or $70 for a
        package of eight. Victor Collins teaches at his studio
        at 7026 Old Katy Road, Suite 281, in The Resource Center.

Thursday

        Susana Collins kicks off tango dancing at the Cotton
        Exchange Bar, an elegant & historic downtown venue
        at Franklin & Travis. Recorded music starts at 10pm,
        and later Greg Harbar and his world music ensemble

        Victor's studio hosts their every other Saturday milonga,
        starting at 8pm.  Entrance is $7.00 per person, soft
        drinks and snacks provided, with a $2.00 discount to those

Sunday

        Tango Houston hosts their weekly practica at Café
        Matisse, 114 Gray at Valentine, from 7:30pm to midnight,
        713-942-8600.  Come practice what you have been learning
        in class, polish your steps for the milongas, and try out
        new moves in a fun, forgiving dance environment. Casual
        dress, plenty of room, beginners welcome, advanced
        dancers welcome.  $3/members, $5/public (Tango Houston
        membership is $12/year)

        Open dancing at Agora Cafe, 1712 Westheimer at Dunlavy,
        just across the street from Brazil, from late until later
        (generally after the practica above at Cafe Matisse). Agora
        is an older house that has been beautifully remodeled with
        an inlaid hardwood floor, an open design with balcony,
        and large windows open to the street. No cover, with
        sandwiches for sale and a full bar. Derik has stocked
        the jukebox with tango CDs. FREE
