        HATA hosts milonguero Cacho Dante for the week, with
        classes, workshops and a special milonga this Friday at
        Cafe Express downtown.  Details below.

        Martin & Natia host their Saturday milonga.  They will
        also host a Halloween Dance (tango plus other music)
        on Friday, October 31.

        Victor's studio is quiet in support of the Cacho Dante
        milonga.

Monday

        Glover Gill of Glovertango normally plays delicious solo
        tango piano at the Continental Club from 8-9pm, but he's
        on a three week break for vacation, etc.

Tuesday

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association kicks off a
        Cacho Dante workshop with a class in Fundamentals of
        Milonguero Style Tango, 7-9:30pm, $25/person, $5 quantity

        Susana Collins hosts tango dancing at The Belmar, a new
        upscale club near Kirby & Richmond.  Plenty of couches
        and tables encircling a great dance area, with super
        sound system, full bar, and a "Tango Tuesday" special
        for wine and sangria.  2710 Richmond near Kirby, 8:30pm
        until 2:00am.  No cover charge, but it always helps to
        support our hosts with business

Wednesday

        Victor Collins teaches class - beginner 7-8pm, practica
        from 8-8:30pm, intermediate/advanced from 8:30-9:30pm,
        with practica until 10pm. $10/class, or $70 for a
        package of eight. Victor Collins teaches at his studio
        at 7026 Old Katy Road, Suite 281, in The Resource Center.

Thursday

        Susana Collins hosts tango dancing at the Cotton
        Exchange Bar, an elegant & historic downtown venue
        at Franklin & Travis. Recorded music starts at 10pm,
        and later Greg Harbar and his world music ensemble

        HATA hosts a milonga in honor of visiting milonguero Cacho
        Dante, in town for his third annual workshop.  Come dance
        tango with a sparkling nightime view of downtown, the best
        in recorded music from Buenos Aires, 9:30pm to 1:00am+,
        cash bar, plenty of parking, cover $10/person.

        Matisse, 114 Gray at Valentine, from 7:30pm to midnight,

        in class, polish your steps for the milongas, and try out
        new moves in a fun, forgiving dance environment. Casual
        dress, plenty of room, beginners welcome, advanced

        Open dancing at Agora Cafe, 1712 Westheimer at Dunlavy,
        just across the street from Brazil, from late until later
        (generally after the practica above at Cafe Matisse). Agora
        is an older house that has been beautifully remodeled with
        an inlaid hardwood floor, an open design with balcony,
        and large windows open to the street. No cover, with
        sandwiches for sale and a full bar. Derik has stocked
        the jukebox with tango CDs. FREE
