We are pleased to announce that Victor Collins has
recovered from his recent surgery. The milonga and free
class on the north side of town continue this Friday, and
his group classes will start again on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

The Gypsies play at Cosmo Cafe this Sunday, 7-10pm, free.

The Saturday milonga previously announced by Martin &
Natia has unfortunately been canceled, due to another
event at the studio. They plan their next milonga for
        Saturday, August 28.

Eric Lanoix's Clear Lake classes have relocated to Dance
Moves dance studio, 611 Kirby in Seabrook, a larger studio
with bars and mirrors. In addition, he will present a new
six week cycle of classes starting Thursday, August 26th.
Beginners 7-8pm, intermediate 8-9pm. Contact Eric at
832-287-9229, or <eric at tangotango.us> for more details.

Always Tango will host their monthly milonga,
salsa and art show at Melody Club next Saturday,
August 21. All the details are on their flyer at
        http://houtango.com/maps/AlwaysTangoMelodyClubAug21.doc
In addition, Toe to Toe has coordinated with Always Tango
and visiting instructor Cynthia Fattori will perform
a short exhibition at this milonga, in connection
with her workshops next weekend. Full details of
the workshop are now on the Toe to Toe web site,
        http://www.t3tango.com/workshops.htm

In addition, there will also be an Argentine
tango/folkloric event next Saturday, August 21, called
Argentinisima (Little Argentina, if I am translating
correctly). On tap are performances by tango singer Jorge
Ahualli, tango dancing by Eric Lanoix & Susana Collins,
various dance music by DJ Ivan Rios, new Argentine
songs by Los Bombos Argentinos, and folkloric music
by Sur. Plus a buffet with typical Argentine food.
$10/person, at Barbara King's Houston Center of Dance,
8pm. More info at 281-752-6481. Detailed flyer:
