Tango Houston ValentineÂ’s Milonga 2004
Featuring Glovertango and the Tosca String Quartet

Sunday, February 15, 8:00pm
Continental Club, 3700 Main @ Winburn
Cover is $10.00, or $7.00 for Tango Houston members

Please join us for a romantic night of Argentine Tango as we dance to
the incredible music of Glovertango in its full 7-piece
incarnation. This orchestra has been playing together for years, and
has really reached a state of perfection and purity that you have to
hear to believe. Their music is magical, and itÂ’s very rare that we
get the privilege of having the entire group together at one time. In
fact, this will be the last chance for nearly a year, as the Tosca
String Quartet will soon be leaving on an extended concert tour.

As many of you know, Glover Gill is unquestionably Texas' finest tango
musician, and plays solo tango piano every Monday night at The
Continental Club. He was the leader of the much-heralded Tosca Tango
Orchestra, and scored the soundtrack to the movie "Waking Life". He
has many CD's to his credit, including his latest, "Solo Tango, vol
1", an excellent recording demonstrating his skill at executing some
very difficult arrangements of Argentine Tango music.

DonÂ’t forget to come to The Continental Club every Monday, from
8:00 til 9:00, to listen and dance to GloverÂ’s wonderful piano
Tango music. ItÂ’s a great little break after a stressful Monday,
thereÂ’s plenty of room for dancing, and itÂ’s free. Glover will
have his CDÂ’s there available for purchase, and please tip
generously!

And also, please attend Tango HoustonÂ’s regular Sunday Night
Milonga at The Java Café (Café Matisse), 114 Gray. They've made
some cool changes, including a great sound system, and a video
system. The lighting is now a little more romantic, and itÂ’s a
great setting for a beautiful evening of Argentine Tango. Please try
to attend, and make use of your floorcraft, as space is limited. Small
steps, please!! And please buy a drink or two to keep the owners
happy. Admission, as always, is only $3.00 for members, $5.00 for
non-members, and first-timers always get in free!

Tango Houston is a non-profit organization formed by dancers for the
benefit of all those interested in Argentine Tango. Please help
support Tango in Houston with your attendance, and by becoming a
member. For more information call Tango Houston at 281-731-5237, or go
