Tango Houston will hold a board meeting at El Paraiso,
2320 Crocker St, 77006, at 6:00 pm. The public is
invited to attend this meeting. Items on the agenda
will include selection of positions, milonga with
Glovertango Nov 21, website issues, and anything else
you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to attend, please

This Thursday HATA dancers will be part of the Artful
Thursday program at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston,
September 9 at 6pm. This is part of the events surrounding
the show "Inverted Utopias: Avant-Garde Art in Latin
America." Former Houston tangero Tim Bugh returns to
perform with Joan Bishop. The free program will be
followed by a reception and a few door prize giveaways.

Toe to Toe begins another session of tango classes
this Thursday, Sept. 9, at Rice University for the
fall semester. Beginner's from 7-8pm and Intermediate
(had at least one beginner class) 8-9pm, $50/person,
classes at Sid Commons (see Rice Social Dance Society

Martin & Natia host their Saturday milonga at Barbara
King this weekend, $10/person, snacks and beverages
provided, BYOB.
Victor Collins' milonga and free class on the north side of
town continue this Friday, with an added practica before
the class.
Susan Collins writes: Many of you expressed interest and I am
EXTREMELY happy and excited to announce a new Argentine Tango
class session in Mid-Town together with Eric Lanoix, a truly
great instructor, aside from being an amazing dancer! (check out
his website at: www.tangotango.us) In this progressive 6 week
course you will achieve effective lead and follow technique, tango
musicality, and move into some fun and intricate dance moves, all
taught in the clearest and most effective manner. Classes will
be held in midtown at 2616 Louisiana St., Hou TX 77006 (Knights
of Columbus Hall) -- Wednesdays 8 to 9, starting September 8.

Glover Gill is back from his travels, and the Continental
Club has expanded his playing time. Great crowds lately
have helped in this extended performance time, 8-9:30pm,
so check it out and join in.
Always Tango will be hosting their regular monthly milonga,
with salsa and art, next Saturday night. Full details

Martin & Natia will perform at St. Thomas University on
October 9, in an event organized by Casa Argentina.

A Spanish language play, "Andar Sin Pensamiento"
(Walking Without a Thought), by Argentine playwright
Jorge Huertas and based on they lyrics of a famous
tango, is currently running in Houston at Talento
Bilingue de Houston. Performances are Friday
and Saturday evening and Sunday matinees through

tango piano at the Continental Club, now with extended
