        It's here! The Spring 2005 ALL HOUSTON MILONGA (AHM) will
        be held this Saturday, April 9th, from 8:30pm to 1:30am
        at the Moon Water Grill at Waterford Marina (in Clear
        Lake). Based on an original concept by Robert Schoenberg,
        the next AHM will be held in a unique lakeside resort
        restaurant. The evening will feature social dancing in
        the beautiful Grand Dining Room, the best Argentine Tango
        music, and a short Tango dancing demonstration. The Grand
        Dining Room features a unique view of Clear Lake and of the
        Waterford Marina, a fireplace, and a large wooden floor (of
        course!).  A menu will be available for guests wishing to
        dine before or during the milonga. The grill also features
        a full-service bar. The menu and other information about

        as they become available.  The entrance fee for the AHM is
        $9 if you purchased your ticket(s) before March 20th (so
        we can get an approximate head count before the event),

        Next week, Saturday April 16, Always Tango hosts their
        monthly night of Art, Tango and Salsa at Melody Club.

        Victor Collins reports that there will be some Argentine
        tango included in a Cinco de Mayo dance festival with
        various workshops and dances, organized by Tony Pace.
        Free pre-festival party with dance and buffet at Chayns
        Night Club.  Different day workshops and dances from 9pm
        to 4am on Friday May 6 and Saturday, May7, at the Marriott

Monday

        Glover Gill of Glovertango plays delicious solo tango piano
        at the Continental Club, back to its original performance
        time, 8-9:00pm.  Come to dance or just to hang out in the

Tuesday

        The Baquero Gallery in Rice Village is a brand new
        Tuesday night tango venue.  David Baquero, artist and
        Maestro, opens his gallery to tango dancing from 8-11pm
        every Tuesday.  The gallery has hardwood floors and is
        a beautiful space in which to dance.  Baquero Gallery is
        at 5502 Chaucer St and Rice Blvd.

        on the weekends, now adding tango night every Friday.

        Daniela Tudoran hosts a practica at City Dance Studio on
        the first three Sundays each month (al Borde practica on
        fourth Friday), 2423 Dunstan in Rice Village, 5:30-7:30pm,
        only $3/person.  Come practice what you've learned in
        class, meet people, and have some fun!
