        Two milongas to choose from on Saturday night: Ney Melo
        workshop milonga at Helios, 9:30pm until ?, $5/person,
        and ArgenTango milonga at Dance Art, 8:30pm-12:20pm,
        $10/person.  Plus a Friday workshop kickoff milonga
        at Esra's house.  We're making up for a dead weekend
        last week.

        Today is the last day for early bird rates for the Ney
        Melo workshop this weekend, Oct 1-2.  Daniela Tudoran
        writes: Hello everybody, A reminder, there are just a
        few more days until Ney's workshop.  We have something
        new in our schedule Milonga at Esra's house on Friday,
        September 30th, 9PM. There will be snacks and drinks
        but if you want to bring your favo rite feel free to

        TX 77006.  It is between Mason and Taft, one block
        north of Westheimer.  To dial at the gate, hit #
        first, and then 5.  Do not park on the south side of

        ArgenTango writes: We missed getting hit by Katrina......we
        missed getting hit by Rita.....  but let's not miss this
        Saturday's ArgenTango Milonga. We need to celebrate
        the luck of our Tango community in avoiding the two
        largest hurricanes this season. If you know of anyone
        who has fled these two hurricanes to our city, please
        invite them to come and tango with us.  We need to
        support our fellow tangueros and tangueras who were
        not so lucky as we have been.  Please come to join us
        and have fun.  Snacks and soft drinks are provided.

        Veronica Quintana writes: Houston Tangueros, due to minor
        damages caused by the late hurricane, Little Napoli will
        not be hosting the Friday milonga this coming Friday,
        September 30.  Little Napoli will resume their weekly
        milonga Friday of next week, October 7.

        Robert Schoenberg writes: For promotional purposes,
        Jeffrey Tinsdale is hosting a free milonga for the Houston
        Tango Community at his new "Dancing For Life" studio on
        Westheimer and Fondren.  I have not seen the studio but
        Jeffrey says that the dance floor is roughly the size of
        the one at the Melody Club and it is newly fitted out
        and decorated.  All Houston Tango dancers are invited,
        details: Where:  "Dancing For Life", 2726 Fondren - It
        is accross the street from" Elvia's" and next to Luby's
        Cafeteria.  When: Saturday October 8th from 9 pm to 1 am.
        Cost: Gratis, Food and Drink:  Jeffrey will provide free
        wine for us!  It is ok to bring some "munchies".  He is
        applying for a beer and wine license.  DJ:  Robert  (Val
        and I have some new music from Argentina) Hope to see you

        Glover Gill of Glovertango plays delicious solo tango
        piano, at The Big Top (new location for a few months),
        8-9:00pm.  Come to dance or just to hang out in the relaxed

Tuesday

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues their
        class cycle, expanded to three classes each night.
        Joan Bishop & Roger Soto instructing, at their new
        location: The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock @ Beverly
        Hill, Suite 500.  This new space offers room to grow
        with new students.  Beginner 7-8pm, Intermediate 8-9pm,

Wednesday

        Salento Coffee sponsors a weekly Wednesday tango event
        starting tonight, Wednesday, May 25.  The dancing runs from
        8:30pm to 10:00pm, and maybe longer if there is demand.
        Salento Coffee is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in the Rice
        Village area: Salento moves all the tables to the walls
        and open up a nice floor of smooth tile.  They even offer
        a special "Tango Sandwich."

        The new Clear Lake Tango Club meets at 7:30pm at Dance
        Moves studio, 611 Kirby Blvd, in Seabrook's Taylor Lake

        connection with the Ney Melo workshop this weekend. There

        Little Napoli Restaurant downtown hosts tango dancing
        from 9:30pm to 2:00am.  Located at 1001 Texas Avenue at
        Main St., it's a brand new restaurant, very spacious,
        nice air conditioned and air flow too, great floors,
        etc. There is plenty of parking everywhere but if you
        don't feel like walking, park in the garage next door
        (on Texas Ave.) and tell the guy at the gate that you are
        going to Little Napoli so he will only charge you $5.00.
