[HouTango-L] Spanish language play about Carlos Gardel in Venezuela

There is a Spanish language play this weekend with an Argentine tango
background.  It is performed in its original Spanish.  This is great
practice in immersion Spanish, but challenging for those who are less
than fluent.

7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 and
3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12

El Departamento de Estudios Hispánicos y el CSL (Center for the
Study of Languages) de la Universidad de Rice, el Instituto de
Cultura Hispánica y Casa Argentina de Houston vuelven a presentar
a GENTE DE TEATRO con la puesta en escena de "EL DÍA QUE ME
QUIERAS", de José Ignacio Cabrujas ¡Imagine aquel famoso día de
1935 en que Carlos Gardel, luminaria del tango, visitó Caracas!
En una atmósfera de intenso romanticismo e ironía poética,
"El día que me quieras" está considerada como una de las obras
venezolanas más importantes del siglo XX.

Culture and Casa Argentina de Houston are pleased to present to
theatre audiences the play "The Day That You Might Love Me", by
Jose Ignacio Cabrujas. Imagine that famous day in 1935 when Carlos
Gardel, light of the tango, visited Caracas!  In an atmosphere
of intense romanticism and poetic irony, "The Day That You Might
Love Me" is considered one of the most important Venezuelan works
of the 20th century.
