Preserving the Art of Tango

Always Tango was created by Juan Carlos and Alicia Suarez to
promote tango and tango history. They were born and raised
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the birthplace of the tango,
and are lifetime dancers who enjoy teaching others. In 1999
they were awarded the title of "Academicos Corresponsales"
(Corresponding Academicians) by the National Academy of Tango in
Buenos Aires. Today, they promote culture in Houston by teaching
Argentine tango and by sponsoring tango exhibitons, lectures,
and plays.

As part of Gateway to Art/De Puertas al Arte at the MFAH, this
program receives generous funding from the Wallace Foundation.
