Well, it's going to be a very full tango weekend, and
we have the agonizing choice between two great workshops
during the day Saturday and Sunday. Daniela and crew are
bringing the ever popular Ney Melo back for another great
weekend. In addition, Siempre Tango has arranged a very
special Houston visit by internationally renowned Pampa &
Valeria Cortes, direct from Buenos Aires, during their
current US tour. At least everyone will be together on
Saturday night, as the Suarezes host another great night of
Art, Tango and Salsa at Melody Lane. There will be guest
performances by Pampa & Valeria, and by Ney Melo and our
own Mercy Chen. Don't miss it! There is also a welcome
milonga for Ney & Jennifer at Daniela's on Friday night.
The Helios Sunday milonga features alternative tango music
this week, DJed by the Popular Tango Liberation Front.
Ney Melo & Jennifer Bratt dance an elegant style of
social tango which is rooted in the traditions of the
neighborhood of Villa Urquiza in Buenos Aires. Their
style is defined by a smooth and graceful walk,a
powerful sense of musicality, a mix of subtle and
intricate steps, precision of movement and an intimate
embrace. Their passion and respect for tango, its culture,
and its music is clearly evidenced in their emotional
dancing, as well as in their teaching. Their school of
Tango Argentino, EL ABRAZO (which means The Embrace),
is based in New York City at Empire Dance Studio and in
their classes together they are dedicated to inspiring
students to dance tango with feeling, musicality, cadencia,
and connection - the way it is danced in Buenos Aires.
Check his website www.neymelo.com Full workshop details at:

Pampa Cortés, internationally renowned dancer and
choreographer, and prestigious ambassador of Argentine
Tango, has amazed audiences throughout the world. He
has performed in all main tango venues and stages in
Argentina and toured with the original cast of the
show Forever Tango. Pampa and Valeria Cortés are in
the midst of their US tour, and Always Tango was very
fortunate to arrange their visit to Houston this weekend.
Pampa & Valeria will give a special presentation at the
Melody Club Milonga on Sat. May 20th. Full details at:
