Laurie Vega of Dallas is hosting Oscar Mandagaran &
Georgina Vargas next weekend, July 17-23. She emailed an
update: "Just spoke to Oscar this morning. He and Georgina
were booked for every private hour time slot for all days
of the festival at Nora's Tango Week in San Francisco. They
had to turn down privates. Their average attendance per
class was 85 students, that is teaching several classes
a day for a week where dancers have a smorgasbord of
choices. Here in Dallas, that would be something like a
super duper milonga tied into a very special event. While
there, he ran into some very good dancers from Houston. You
know, the real crazy tango junkies ... the ones we love to
dance with. They told him they are coming to Dallas! Also,
I am getting calls from other cities to book privates."
