        Milonga a Beneficio: A milonga benefiting the Tango
        Club at Piney Point Elementary Public School, Saturday,
        November 10, 2007, 9pm-1am.  Cafe Tango Bar & Studio,
        3217 Mercer at Alabama, one block west of Buffalo
        Speedway.  $10/person, includes finger food, soft
        drinks and complementary wine and beer.  Organized by
        the Milonga a Beneficio Committee.  Music by "El Ruso"
        Mamontoff and "El Gringo" Williams.  No reservations

        Piney Point Tango Club is made-up of 4th and 5th grade
        students and is directed by two local tangueros, Ana
        Maria Withoff and Alex Mamontoff. One hundred percent
        of the proceeds from the milonga will purchase tango
        shoes and clothes for the boys and girls of the club.
        Piney Point Elementary School is a Title I public school
        and part of the Houston Independent School District . All
        students at Piney Point are from disadvantaged families.

        tango volunteers, including Pam Jensen, Teresa and Rick
        Williams, Katrine Wu, Jim Liu, Sheema Muneer, Ana Maria

        Fundamentals for beginners on Thursdays, starting
        November 8.  City Dance Studio, 5416 Chaucer Dr (behind
        the Ruggles in the Rice village) Tango Fundamentals
        class is designed to give essentials of social tango.
        8pm to 9:30 pm, Thursdays, new cycle starting November 8.
        Cycle consists of 6 classes of 1.5 hrs each,  $40 for
        the 6 class cycle, $30 for students, $10 for drop-in

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues their
        class cycle this week, now with three classes each night.
        Joan Bishop instructs at The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock
        @ Beverly Hill, Suite 500.  This new space offers room

Wednesday

        Jackie Arita, manager of Salento Cafe, sponsors a
        weekly tango event.  The dancing runs from 9 pm till
        midnight. Salento Cafe is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in
        the Rice Village area: Salento moves all the tables to the
        walls and open up a nice floor of smooth tile. Tango music

        "Avant Garden" in place of "Helios/Mausoleum". It has
