It's finally here! The first Houston Tango Festival
kicks off with their welcome milonga Thursday, and it
doesn't slow down until the wee hours of Monday morning.
It's a total tango rush, and you can't miss it!
All the details are at the Houston Tango Festival web
site: <http://www.houstontangofestival.com/>.
The detailed schedule is here:
<http://www.houstontangofestival.com/schedule.html>
My rough count is 27 workshops in up to three simultaneous
tracks, a nightly milonga for four nights straight (one
ending at 6am Sunday morning!), practicas, performances --
"It's in there!" The festival will be held in the Ley
Student Center at the center of the Rice campus, and the
elegant Grand Hall is one of the best dance floors in
the city.
----------------
For this Festival week and weekend, Martin & Natia have
canceled all group classes and private lessons, and their
Saturday milonga. Going forward, Martin's schedule is
in flux and they have suspended their group and private
classes through February until they can construct a viable
schedule. Their Saturday milonga will resume as normal
after this weekend. Their studio is available for rental
during the week, contact <MartinNatiaTango at yahoo.com>
for details.
