Pampa is consolidating his summer class schedule:
Considering that many of our students and tango friends
are out of town on vacations, we are combining our weekly
classes into one night starting this week.
Come to class on Tuesday nights for an all-levels
class. 8-9:00 pm $15 includes both class & practice time.
For those people for whom Friday is still your best tango
night, call to schedule a private or semi-private class
w/ Pampa.

Argentine Tango with Indre at Continental Club before Glover
In nature the circle often occurs in moments of
transformation- the wave curls and breaks, the pebble
dropped in a pool spreads a concentric pattern, the tree
adds another ring. Such is life. Very similar to tango. In
tango couples are turning all the time: in a big circle
around the room in the line of dance, woman around the man,
man around the woman. Come and learn the Tango through
turning. Learn 5 basic turns for social dance floor. 5
Mondays in a row.

The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues their
class cycle this week, now with three classes each night.
Joan Bishop instructs at The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock
@ Beverly Hill, Suite 500. This new space offers room

Jackie Arita, manager of Salento Cafe, sponsors a
weekly tango event. The dancing runs from 9 pm till
midnight. Salento Cafe is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in
the Rice Village area: Salento moves all the tables to the
walls and open up a nice floor of smooth tile. Tango music
dj'ed by Oscar. Salento offers a great selection of wines,
including Argentine Malbec as house wine. Empanadas and

Rafa (Baires Tango, www.bairestangohouston.com) teach
fundamentals of Argentine Tango on Wednesdays from 8:00

- making your walking more interesting and dynamic,
introducing embellishments for both leaders and followers,
improving your connection. To participate in this class,
we expect you to be familiar with basic tango technique
(open & close embrace technique, molinetes & giros,
half-turns, ochos, cross in both parallel and cross-foot
