[Back after migrating to a new web host. For technical
reasons, sometimes the host domain appears as houtango.com,
sometimes as nbolt.com. It's all the same server and
everything should "just work", but let me know if you
        notice something weird. Thanks, Lester]

Gosh, I miss two weeks of sending tango emails and Houston
tango takes two major blows. Within a couple of days,
I learn that Mikas & Antje are leaving Houston, and
Tangohous as a collective will be dissolved. Then Pampa
Cortés is relocating to San Francisco permanently.
I didn't want to read any more tango email for awhile.
This is old news at this point, but I would like to say
thanks to the three of them for all they did to improve
the Houston tango scene. Pampa's Gran Milonga was a
staple on the calendar for some time, and Mikas and
friends restarted the Houston Tango Festival concept.
The festival will continue next year, from a team led by
        Andrew Dugas.

Pampa's manager and business associate Gigi Jensen wrote
this background on Pampa relocating to San Francisco:

As you know, the economic situation in Houston is
really bad. Here in the San Francisco area things have
improved considerably and my company is really in need
of Pampa's skills and level of expertise. So he's
agreed to move back here and take over as the Artistic
Director. Thank goodness! We made this decision during
his recent trip here in July but kept things low key
in Houston until we knew his specific move date.

Please expect Pampa back every couple of months to
continue working with the Houston tango community.
He loves it there. He's sad to be leaving. He knows,
however, that he has to go to where the work is.

people in the world and boy can they perform!

We are inviting you to get out of yourself, become more
beautiful and more powerful this THURSDAY, 8-10 pm at

Expect an hour of tango basics, connection exercises and
musicality and an hour of challenging, fun patterns where

Last week we had a beautiful mini concert at the end,
who knows we may get lucky again?

Here is a big bowl of tango passion mixed in with a cozy
light of a star or a moon, a dash of a caressing breeze,
a splash of a wave, a sprinkle of sand, a cool shade of
a tree, and a touch of a sunset:
