Jaimes Friedgen & Christa Rodriguez are in residence for
most of August. Friday has them at Te House of Tea with
a special demonstration planned. Saturday night is the
regular first Saturday Milonga Brasileña

Friday at House of Tea we will have world renowned Jaimes
and Chirsta in house!! If there's one couple you don't

This Saturday, August 6, we will have a milonga at Emporio
Brazilian Cafe. The milonga will begin at 9 PM and end
at 12 AM. As always, there is no admission fee if you
are having dinner or drinks. Tony and Carla Palmeira,
the owners of Emporio, are loyal friends who support our
tango efforts. They enjoy the different dance culture
that makes tango special. Those of us who dance, enjoy
the Brazilian food, the cool A/C and the ambiance of the
restaurant in the background while we interpret the music.

master (DJ) for this milonga is Arturo Rappi. His last
event to DJ was beautifully arranged. I am eager to hear

Argentine Tango for a Complete Beginner
Starting July 18 - Aug 15 th
Cycle consists of 5 classes. Class is 60 min long with
15 min practice dancing at the end. You will learn basic
Milonguero steps done exclusively on the body. Involves
learning and refining vocabulary from simple back
ochos to the ocho cortado; connection between partners,
tango walk as a couple, navigation on the dance floor,
basic conventional patterns as well as the man's and
woman's role in tango. You are welcomed as a complete
beginner, or if you want to polish / remember what
you've learned in the past, or if you want to to
help beginners to learn faster. *Starting ** Jul 18 -

every Friday from 10:00pm till 1:00am at Té House of
