Save you date for a great night of dancing in black
and red. We got short notice from building managment
about new regulations regarding door closing after business
hours. We will have people at the front gate from 9:30pm
till midnight for garage parking and entries. Guests
coming after midnight will need to park outside the garage
and call at the front door to get in. La Milonga de
Los Amigos is trying our best for everyone's convenience.
Please respect the hours, come early and have fun.
La Milonga de los Amigos presents Le Rouge et Noir
Milonga with DJ Mario "El Charrúa"
Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most
beautiful of the arts, because it is not mere translation
or abstraction from life; it is life itself.
La Milonga de los Amigos invite you to come and join us
for another great and 'hot' milonga. Get your red and
black garments and shoes and show us the ulala of you!
Dance till the stars come down from the rafters. Dance,
Dance, Dance till you drop!
$10/person, Students $5, drinks and snacks included.

Our DJ is Arturo Rappi. If he is not dancing, ask him
about your favorite tango music. I always enjoy learning
about Argentine culture. Arturo is my favorite local
authority on tango music here in Houston. His last milonga
was masterful in it's content. Even if you don't dance,
come dine and listen to the best tango music available.
I hope to see you at the milonga.

Hey everybody,
I know many of you are already hip to this info but
for those of you who are not, we've decided to do some
teaching, once again, in Houston! We'll be teaching just
prior to the milonga at Helios on Sundays. We'll also
be available for private lessons on Sundays. Below you'll
find the details!
Would be great to see you all!
Laura Pellegrino and Tomás Corbalán will be teaching
in Houston Sundays in Sept. 11th, 18th and 25th!
Classes will be held at Avant Garden 6:30-7:45PM. Just
prior to the Helios milonga. The general level will be
geared towards the Intermediate dancer. However each
class will build from a simple concept towards more
complex movement. If you feel you find yourself more
at the Beginning Intermediate part of the spectrum,
don't worry, there will be something simpler to work on.
Ditto, if you should think of yourself more at the other
end of the spectrum and desire something more to bite
into....we're more than happy to oblige you :)
Cost: $15/class a la carte or $12/class if signing
up for the entire month. Laura and Tomás will
be available for private lessons. For scheduling
email Laura at Bsasbaby at gmail.com or Tomás
at Tomascorbalan at msn.com.
In SHOE NEWS! Laura will be bringing her as yet to
arrive newest shipment of Comme Il Faut shoes to
Houston for "shoe and tell" on Sat. Sept. 10th!!
