World Champions in the Salon Category 2012
are in Houston April 3-8th.

Facundo and Paola are talented representatives of a young
generation of dancers who are dedicated to the art and tradition of
tango salon. The provinces of Cordoba and Chubut were their dance
home for 10 years, 6 of whom have danced together. Independent
exploration of the essence of tango salon, elegance, connection
and musicality has allowed them to create a product that is unique
and traditional. After winning several titles in recognition of
their talent in some competitions in Argentina, Facundo and Paola
moved to Buenos Aires in 2011 to be an active element of the tango
capitol that has the greatest influence on the world. In 2012
they scored the dream goal of every salon tango dancer and won
the Championship of the year . Now they inspire tango communities
around the world with the elegance and passion of the traditional
tango. Let us celebrate masterful and harmonious dance of Facundo
and Paola in Houston!

8-9.00 Pm -Musical interpretation phrases and pauses.

9Pm - Milonga with Glover Gill Piano Tangos
11Pm *– Demonstration dance by the champions at Tango Cielo*

*Saturday April 5th*
1.00-2.15 Pm – Elegance and technique of the Embrace. How to
connect instantly, and have perfect control of basic movements.
2.30-3.45 Pm- Masterful turns in tight spaces. Ways to adjust
intention and axis of the turn for women and men.
4.00- 5.15 Pm – Linear and circular sacadas y barridas fitted to the line
of dance.

*Sunday, April 6th*
1.00-2.15 Pm – Milonga Lisa, cadence and rhythm. Functional
steps, phrasing and pausing.
2.30-3.45 Pm – Milonga. Playing with feet and embellishments
in contra tempo.
4.00- 5.15 Pm – Vals. Exploring the musically of vals rhythm
using different dynamics and gyro.
