2. Evening Milongas at Tango Cielo and Eldorado Ballroom are
strictly BYOB. At SSQQ, drinks will be available for purchase.

3. Vendors will be available during the festival. Laura Pellegrino
will have shoes from Buenos Aires!

** Total Beginner Boot Camp
------------------------------------------------------------

Two days of intensive Argentine Tango that will prepare you
to dance tango socially and participate in the Houston tango
community. No experience or partner required to attend.


Gustavo Simplis and Monica Caivano are natives from Buenos
Aires. As such, they carry tango in their blood. Gustavo was
once quoted saying "tango is an addiction" and they have indeed
been working for many years in "spreading it" to as many people
as possible. It is their belief that tango is a wonderful social
dance for all types and kinds!


Total Beginner Boot Camp

Date: Saturday, May 17 & Sunday, May 18

Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm both days

Where: SSQQ Dance Studio, 1431 W 20th St, 77008

Cost: $50 for both days and includes entrance to the practicas both days (6 hrs)

** About Monica & Gustavo:

------------------------------------------------------------

They are as passionate about teaching and social dancing as
they are about performing. Monica & Gustavo are known for their
spirited, rhythmic and elegant dancing. Full of emotions from
their feet to their faces, they express drama and playfulness
connecting with each other and the audience.

Gustavo has recently performed at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Gala, at "Om Shanti - Once Upon a Time in Bollywood" at the Long
Center or at last year's Austin Ballroom Festival. Monica past
performances include dancing at "Evita" with Zach Theatre and
producing shows for the Aztlan Dance Co among other places. In
2006 with much support from Austin and surrounding communitiess
they created Esquina Tango (http://esquinatangoaustin.com), a
non-profit organization striving to build a vibrant and diverse
community through dance, culture and language. Esquina Tango
is now one of the most active cultural hubs of Austin. Monica &
Gustavo currently teach over six group tango classes weekly along
with private lessons; they organize two to three weekly milongas
as well as many other cultural events.

** Volunteering for TangoFest as it is an opportunity
for you to meet new people, share your love of your city,
and show support of the Houston tango community. TangoFest
Volunteers are a vital part of the festival and we appreciate
your time and energy. Without you, this festival could not
exist. Volunteer opportunities are available on a first
come, first served basis. Please contact the undersigned
