See you tonight!

~ When we tango we connect and once we connect we are able to see each
other ~

Milonga Mi Refugio was only a dream a couple months ago. It was a
response to the newly elected president ( nothing else needs to be said
about this).
~ I believe in solutions and forward movement and what best way to do
this than within a community as wonderful as the tango community. The
solution we ( Ana, Elizabeth Marie, Tango, Georgina, Ahmed, Sean and I)
have supported is to create fundraiser milongas for organizations that
will need assistance due to our shift in our political climate. ~

Our first pick was the ACLU since they do such amazing things for those
in dire need ( come hear more about this on Wednesday, when they speak
). We plan to continue these fundraiser milongas throughout the year to
support other organizations.

*** Beginners are welcome, actually ENCOURAGED, to attend and experience
    what the Houston tango community entails, the classes are here
    specifically for you ***

This Wednesday, January 18th the FUN will start at 7:30pm;

The itinerary is as follows:

7:30 - 8:30 pm ( Classes with Isadora / Lola and Srinivas)
8:30 - 9:30 pm - Beginning of the Milonga ( with some tango bits from
our MC Luis and heartfilling tandas by Fil .)
9:30 - 10:30 pm - Performance by Susana with partners Rob, Chris and Ron
to the live music of the wonderful Gonzalo in conjunction with our
raffle.
10:30 - 12:00 am- dance until you can't dance anymore.

So, dare to dress as fancy as you can comfortably be and come early for
the yummy food.

P.S. The ACLU will be there until about 9pm so come earlier if you wish
to connect with them.
