This educational presentation is an exciting culturally-enriching

its various styles and composers, will be reviewed and performed.
Bellaire orchestra and band students will take part in the musical
ensemble. Student members of the Ritmo Latino Dance Club will
be performing a prepared choreography as well. The evening will
be hosted by, Mr. Daniel Diaz, bandoneon.

Daniel Diaz started his studies of music at age six under the
tutelage of Bandoneon Master Arcangel Juan Stefano and the great
bandoneon master Ciriaco Ortiz. At age 18 he moved to Mar del Plata
where he won the Mar del Plata Music Festival. He became part
of the orchestras of radio LU6 and LU9 of Mar del Plata. He also
performed at local casinos and many area night clubs. He excels
in the performance of music from Argentina: Tango, the music
of the city, and folklore, the music of the gauchos. In 1970 he
immigrated to the United States and completed postgraduate studies
in music, audio, acoustics and recording arts at Brigham Young
University. He performs regularly in Denver, Salt Lake City, San
Francisco and other places in the US and Canada He is also the
