        Toe to Toe again hosts their Galleria practicas,
        "Mall'anga", on two Saturday afternoons, Feb 21 and
        28, 5-7pm.  More dates should be forthcoming, but it is
        tricky to get The Galleria to commit to dates because of
        other commitments for the space.  FREE

        Martin & Natia perform at Casa Argentina's Piano & Tango
        Show and Benefit on Thursday.  All proceeds are donated
        to Children of Argentina and Battered Women charities.
        Details below.  [Casa Argentina's web site seems to be
        down at the moment.]

        No milongas announced so far this weekend.  I'll send an
        update if that changes.

        Glover Gill of Glovertango plays delicious solo tango
        piano at the Continental Club from 8-9pm. Come to dance
        or just to hang out in the relaxed atmosphere. 3700 Main

Tuesday

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues
        a seven week class cycle this week.  Students may
        enter up to the second week.  Joan Bishop & Roger Soto

        Mediterranean cafe bar.  Great wood floor, menu of salads,
        sandwiches, coffees, wines, etc.  Easy going management.

Wednesday

        Victor Collins teaches class - beginner 7-8pm, practica
        from 8-8:30pm, intermediate/advanced from 8:30-9:30pm,
        with practica until 10pm. $10/class, or $70 for a
        package of eight. Victor Collins teaches at his studio
        at 7026 Old Katy Road, Suite 281, in The Resource Center.

Thursday

        Toe to Toe continues their classes at Rice University, in
        association with the Rice Ballroom Dance Society, on the
        Rice campus, 7-8pm, $50/person for the entire semester (Jan
        20-April 8).  Discounts for students and Rice staff/alums.

        Casa Argentina presents a Piano Concert Benefit,
        7pm to 11pm at King's Dancing Centre. Performances by
        "ARGENTANGO" group, and Martin & Natia. With the purchase

        of Children of Argentina and Battered Women.  $18/members,

        Tango Houston hosts their weekly practica at
        CafÃ© Matisse, 114 Gray at Valentine, from 7:30pm
        to midnight,713-942-8600.  Come practice what you
        have been learning in class, polish your steps for the
        milongas, and try out new moves in a fun, forgiving dance
        environment. Casual dress, plenty of room, beginners
        welcome, advanced dancers welcome.  $3/members, $5/public
        (Tango Houston membership is $12/year)

        Open dancing at Agora Cafe, 1712 Westheimer at Dunlavy,
        just across the street from Brazil, from late until later
        (generally after the practica above at Cafe Matisse). Agora
        is an older house that has been beautifully remodeled with
        an inlaid hardwood floor, an open design with balcony,
        and large windows open to the street. No cover, with
        sandwiches for sale and a full bar. Derik has stocked
        the jukebox with tango CDs. FREE
