        Derik & Susana continue the Tuesday Tango at Byzantio,
        a great new cafe bar with a wood floor, great food and
        drink, and friendly management.  Check it out!

        The Gypsies play their regular third Sunday gig at Cosmos
        this week.  This appears to be the only scheduled tango
        milonga or practica this weekend.

        Remember Glover Gill plays great tango piano for dancing
        and listening every Monday at the Continental Club.

        Reminder: Toe to Toe hosts Robin Thomas & Jennifer Bratt
        for a weekend tango workshop the weekend of Jan 31-Feb 1.

        Victor Collins resumes classes this Wednesday at Eye
        Candy Studio.  Classes will continue there, contrary to
        my previous report.  Milongas will be on an irregular
        schedule, stay tuned for announcements.

        Always Tango resumed class last week, and continues their
        Friday and Saturday classes this week.  Their First Friday
        Milongas are currently on hiatus.  Believe it or not,
        Helios wasn't very impressed with the business they were
        seeing from tango.  Sigh.

        HATA starts a new cycle this Tuesday, and new students
        can enter the second week, too.

Monday

        Glover Gill of Glovertango plays delicious solo tango
        piano at the Continental Club from 8-9pm. Come to dance
        or just to hang out in the relaxed atmosphere. 3700 Main

        Victor Collins teaches class - beginner 7-8pm, practica
        from 8-8:30pm, intermediate/advanced from 8:30-9:30pm,

        of tangos as well as other music, and a new dance floor.
        7-10pm.  FREE

        Open dancing at Agora Cafe, 1712 Westheimer at Dunlavy,
        just across the street from Brazil, from late until later
        (generally after the practica above at Cafe Matisse). Agora
        is an older house that has been beautifully remodeled with
        an inlaid hardwood floor, an open design with balcony,
        and large windows open to the street. No cover, with
        sandwiches for sale and a full bar. Derik has stocked
        the jukebox with tango CDs. FREE
