        The Grand Return!!  Absence truly does make the heart grow
        fonder, and Tango Houston again hosts their weekly event
        at Cafe Matisse, newly renovated and dancer friendly.
        Don't miss the fun this Sunday.

        Latin Carnaval, the current incarnation of Astoria back
        with Edward Grigassy at the helm, hosts a CD release
        party this Thursday at Cotton Exchange Bar.  You might
        remember them as the regular tango performers on Fridays
        at Azukar.  Their new CD is entitled "Sueno de Barrilete,"
        and includes a mix of tango with other Latin sounds.

        Martin & Natia host their every other Saturday milonga in
        the big ballroom at King's Dance Center, starting at 8pm.

        Reminder: Toe to Toe hosts Robin Thomas & Jennifer

        On February 19, Casa Argentina hosts another piano tango
        benefit at King's Dancing Center. Martin  & Natia  will
        perform, and there will be a special appearance/performance
        by the group "ARGENTANGO."  Tickets  are  $15 for
        members  of  Casa Argentina and  $20  for non-members.
        Each ticketholder receives an empanada, a sandwich and
        one  glass of wine.  Please come and support your fellow
        Tango dancers

Monday

        Glover Gill of Glovertango plays delicious solo tango
        piano at the Continental Club from 8-9pm. Come to dance
        or just to hang out in the relaxed atmosphere. 3700 Main

Tuesday

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues
        a seven week class cycle this week.  Students may

        Victor Collins teaches class - beginner 7-8pm, practica
        from 8-8:30pm, intermediate/advanced from 8:30-9:30pm,
        with practica until 10pm. $10/class, or $70 for a
        package of eight. Victor Collins teaches at his studio
        at 7026 Old Katy Road, Suite 281, in The Resource Center.

        Latin Carnaval, the new group led by Edward Grigassy
        of the former Astoria, holds a CD release party
        at the Cotton Exchange Bar, 808 Franklin at Travis
        downtown.  Shows at 8pm and 10pm, with recorded tango
        music otherwise.  No cover, but one drink minimum.
        Latin Carnaval plays tangos for dancing, along with

        practica at Café Matisse, 114 Gray at Valentine, from
        7:30pm to midnight,713-942-8600.  Come practice what
        you have been learning in class, polish your steps for
        the milongas, and try out new moves in a fun, forgiving
        dance environment. Casual dress, plenty of room, beginners
        welcome, advanced dancers welcome.  $3/members, $5/public
        (Tango Houston membership is $12/year)

        Open dancing at Agora Cafe, 1712 Westheimer at Dunlavy,
        just across the street from Brazil, from late until later
        (generally after the practica above at Cafe Matisse). Agora
        is an older house that has been beautifully remodeled with
        an inlaid hardwood floor, an open design with balcony,
        and large windows open to the street. No cover, with
        sandwiches for sale and a full bar. Derik has stocked
