Victor continues his Friday milongas on the north side,
now including classes in chacarera, a dance popular in
        Buenos Aires milongas.

Victor Collins announces a new sequence of classes in
Spring. Learn the language of this beautiful, romantic
dance from an experienced award-winning instructor. This
class begins with basic steps and posture and includes
undertanding and performing the salidas, cierres, ochos
and vueltas. 15 hours of class for only $45, $36 for

Eric Lanoix writes: This Friday (Jan 21st), starting at
6pm, The Flying Dutchman (a restaurant on the Boardwalk
in Kemah) will be hosting a tango dinner and wine tasting
event. Susana Collins and I will be dancing at the event,
along with one other couple from the Houston area. The
dinner and wine is $75/person (yikes!). But if you
are interested in watching the dancing (not in the $75
dinner/wine tasting), the manager told me that you are
welcome to come hang out at the bar and watch us dance
(please purchase some drinks). See you there!

Leonor of Toe to Toe Tango announces the return of Robin
& Jennifer to teach a full weekend of workshops Feb 4-6.
        Full details are at http://www.t3tango.com/workshops.htm,
and early registration runs through January 30. Sign up
        today!

Eric Lanoix & Michelle Lamb will be teaching an
all-weekend tango workshop in San Antonio, TX on Sat-Sun
Feb 19-20. There will be four 90-minutes classes (2 on
each day), as well as a milonga on Friday night (Feb
18th). Called "Zen in the Art of Tango", this workshop
will focus on tango dancing skills that everyone should
have. This workshop is not about learning steps that
you might forget within 1-2 weeks, or that no one will
be able to practice with you... Eric and Michelle will
be teaching brand new material that will help you better
your tango, not just for a few weeks, but FOR GOOD! Mark
your calendars, more details coming soon!

The Gypsies have scheduled their annual Julian New Years
party for Sunday, February 6. More details to follow.
(Yes, that is Superbowl Sunday, and there will be plenty
        of TV screens.)

Missed a tango email? Need the calendar while away from
your computer? You can always refer to past tango email
