        Alicia and Juan Carlos Suarez write: Saludos to all of you
        who attended last night's milonga and to all our events
        in the past.  We extend a sincere thank you to all of
        you for making Always Tango's events at Melody Club such
        a success over the past 3 years. Your friendships and
        compliments mean so much to us, and have helped us to
        have the recognition in Houston's tango community that

        This Saturday night is another Tango Oblivion, a milonga
        presented by Sonia's World of Dance and Ilya Karash.
        Tango Oblivion is held every last Saturday of the month
        at 9pm. Come enjoy the best music selection, huge
        dance floor, FREE wine tasting and great atmosphere
        at a central Galleria location.  The studio website is

        Julia Ann writes that the Clear Lake Tango Club has now
        formally adopted the name "Clear Lake Argentine Tango
        Association" or CLATA.

        Monica Caivano of Austin is hosting a workshop with
        Sharna Fabiano & Isaac Oboka the weekend of September
        22-24, 2006.  She is planning a great weekend of
        traditional and alterantive milongas every night, with
        exciting classes for all levels and a performance by the

        Next year, Martin & Natia are taking a group to Argentina,
        March 2-10, 2007.  They have limited space, so if you are
        interested, please contact Martin or Natia, 832-289-8389.
        For those who are interested and have requested for us
        to add the names to the existing list - please confirm
        your attendance.  We would like to start collecting the
        deposit for flight and hotel reservations.  The trip is
        3-2-07 to 3-10-07, $2700.00 single and $2500.00 couples
        (each).  8 nights and 9 days.  All inclusive - round trip
        airfare, hotel, 4 hours of group classes every day, milonga
        every night, our own private bus (transportation), 1 day
        city tour, 3 Tango dinner shows, 1 full day at a ranch

        Looking ahead to the holiday season, La Vida Tango E~zine
        will proudly presents for your tango passion the Fourth
        Annual Posada Milonga, Saturday, December 16, 2006,
        held in the historic Granada Ballroom on the Riverwalk,
        in San Antonio.  Black Tie, BYOB ONLY, Beer Wine and
        Set-ups sold at the bar.  14th Floor, 111 Villita Street

Tuesday

        The Houston Argentine Tango Association continues
        their class cycle, now with three classes each night.
        Joan Bishop instructs at their new location: The Dance
        Place, 3300 Chimney Rock @ Beverly Hill, Suite 500.
        This new space offers room to grow with new students.
        Beginner 7-8pm, Intermediate 8-9pm, Advanced 9-10pm.

Wednesday

        Salento Coffee sponsors a weekly tango event.  The dancing
        runs from 8:30pm to 11:30pm, if there is demand.  Salento
        Coffee is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in the Rice Village
        area: Salento moves all the tables to the walls and open
        up a nice floor of smooth tile.  They even offer a special
        "Tango Sandwich."

        Roger Soto's classes are taught in four week cycles,
        8-9pm, at The Spanish Institute of Dance, 1208 N. Post
        Oak Rd., Ste 180, west of the Heights and east of the

        Cycles currently alternate between Beginner 1 and Beginner

Sunday

        Helios Milonga, from 8pm to 12pm, every Sunday at Helios
        (411 Westheimer Rd., 2nd story). All tango dancers are
        welcome. The music is played by regular or guest dj's
        (regular djs include Barbara, Roger, Mercy).  No cover,
        but donations are encouraged, full bar downstairs. On
        every third Sunday of the month there is an Alternative
        Milonga DJed by the Popular Tango Liberation Front. Call

        The Clear Lake Argentine Tango Association (CLATA) hosts a
        twice monthly Persian tea-time milonga every 2nd and 4th
        Sunday from 4-7pm at the Cyrus Persian Grill.  The Cyrus
        Persian Grill is located at 911, NASA Parkway, Houston TX
        (in the Clear Lake area). Tel.:281-280-8200. To get there
        from town, take I-45 South, exit at Exit 25, and go left
        (East) Until you reach the restaurant.  The restaurant
        offers an excellent selection of Persian dishes (Eric
        recommends the food.)  Admission is free, but guests are
