Houston Argentine Tango Association (HATA) in cooperation with
Always Tango is pleased to welcome Teté Rusconi & Silvia Ceriani
(Buenos Aires, Argentina) to Houston, Texas , May 18 through
21, 2007.

The Houston Argentine Tango Association considers Pedro (Teté)
Rusconi to be among Argentina's national treasures. Recognized
as one of the foremost teachers of apilado (stacked on) style of
Argentine Tango, also known as milonguero style, Teté and his
partner, Silvia Ceriani, have been dancing and teaching together
since 1995.

Teté and Silvia have toured German, France, Switzerland,
Italy, Holland, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and the United States,
offering group and private classes, exhibitions, performances,
and instruction as part of tango festivals. Their focus is on
musical compases, i.e., interpretative phrasing of the beats
found in Argentine tango and tango vals music, body sensibility,
and liberty of movement.

Teté is noted for his musicality, and he is acclaimed for hi
individualistic interpretations of tango valses of the 1940s and
1950s - the Golden Era of Music in Argentina. While Teté stresses
the specific importance of the abrazo (embrace) and puts the
feeling of the music at the heart of the dance, Silvia's creativity
and corporal awareness conveys the essence of femininity.

Valued for their teaching ability, their willingness to travel
to share the cultural significance of their dance, and their
poignant prescription for the joy of dancing, Teté and Silvia
will b teaching workshops with themes of tango and tango vals
in Houston during the third weekend in May. For an introduction,
or to deepen your awareness of this intuitive and spirited style
of dancing, join us.

Workshops will be presented for all skill levels. Schedules and
related information will be distributed shortly. Those with little
or no exposure to milonguero style Argentine tango will have the
opportunity to participate at an introductory level. Workshops
will also be held in tango to accommodate those with experience
in the dance, and workshops in tango vals will be available to
more advanced dancers.
