Cafe Tango Bar & Studio will be hosting an Argentine
Folk Workshop taught by Pampa Cortes - Chacarera and
Gato this Saturday, Oct 6, 8pm to 9pm. $15/person. This
workshop is open to all levels. Pampa will cover/review
Chacarera and teach Gato. We have been receiving many
requests for Folk classes, so before Pampa goes back
to France we decided to have one more special class
dedicated to Chacarera and the new experience of Gato. We
welcome you and and looking forward to another fun and
entertaining class by Pampa Cortes. We will party after
the class at the Milonga and you all will demonstrate
the dances during Milonga. You know Pampa thrives on
his students. He loves to see everybody having a good
time... We invite you all to our Milonga every Saturday
at the Cafe Tango-Studio, centrally located at 3217

Monday Oct.1st! 6:15-7:30 / Style and Technique for
Tango Fundamentals:(All levels welcome). Get the most
out of every step by improving your precision, execution

of all the most fundamental aspects of Tango, and will
include exercises aimed at improving precision, balance and

class cycle this week, now with three classes each night.

Jackie Arita, manager of Salento Cafe, sponsors a
weekly tango event. The dancing runs from 9 pm till
midnight. Salento Cafe is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in
the Rice Village area: Salento moves all the tables to the
walls and open up a nice floor of smooth tile. Tango music
dj'ed by Oscar. Salento offers a great selection of wines,

Helios Tango Club new intermediate cycle, Wednesdays,
Sept 26-Oct 24, 8pm-9pm. Every session of this class is
new material and it can be taken many times. The next
cycle of classes will focus on building on the tango
fundamentals. We explore the structure and technique
of tango and keep memorizing patterns to a minimum.

Sunday practica is back! We have resumed our weekly Sunday

"Avant Garden" in place of "Helios/Mausoleum". It has
