Houston has a full weekend in store, with workshops
and milongas at multiple locations on Saturday, and
on Sunday. HATA and Always Tango have joined forces
to bring Teté Rusconi & Silvia Ceriani to Houston
May 18-21. The Houston Argentine Tango Association
considers Pedro (Teté) Rusconi to be among Argentina's
national treasures. Recognized as one of the foremost
teachers of apilado (stacked on) style of Argentine Tango,
also known as milonguero style, Teté and his partner,
Silvia Ceriani, have been dancing and teaching together
since 1995. They will be teaching a workshop at Melody
Club from 8:30pm-10:00pm on The Joy of Dancing Milonguero
Style Tango at the beginner to moderate experience
level. Please arrive by 8pm to finalize registration.
After the workshop, Always Tango is throwing their regular
monthly Art & Tango milonga starting at 10pm, $12/person.

Maximiliano Avila for two weeks, and he makes his first
appearance at their milonga this Saturday. $10 entrance

Jackie Arita, manager of Salento Cafe, sponsors a
weekly tango event. The dancing runs from 9 pm till
midnight. Salento Cafe is located at 2407 Rice Blvd in

walls and open up a nice floor of smooth tile. Tango music
